My older AMD motherboard and CPU apparently do not support Windows 11.
So what happens with end of Windows 10 support in October?

Will it be safe or practical to still run Windows 10, or will I be forced to invest in essentailly a brand new PC?

I'm sure I'm not the only one in this boat.

You'll get less updates to windows 10 basically less driver support for less programs

What are the specs if it's am4 it's doable.

You just need a Ryzen 4000 or 5000 processor.

First gen 1600 don't work.

Ryzen 2600 work on gigabyte bios.

Thanks. Wasn't aware of the $30 option! So Microsoft will still officially support and provide updates to Win10 even though its discontinued?

2nd Gen Threadripper 1950X
ROG Zenith Extreme MOBO.

Yes, but only for 1 year, at least at this point. I would not be surprised if it is offered again next year... the beginning of the subscription for the OS.
