My computer is not recognizing my PS/2 Mouse. This has all of a sudden became a problem. Never has this happened before. When the computer boots, after the memory and drives are detected, it says that there is a PS/2 Mouse Error or the mouse is not installed, which it is. Windows doesn't even detect it. To me it sounds like a driver problem during bootup. What can it be?

Have you tried the mouse on another computer, or another mouse in the same computer? Sounds like a component failure.

Yeah, I think you're right. I was able to find another PS/2 mouse lying around in my house. My PC was able to find it, but my other one still cannot be found. Apparently, the mouse is not communicating the PC. I guess I'll just have to throw it away.
