Ps3 error has occurred

Hey guys so i bought my new ps3 slim today and i connected to my wireless internet and did my internet test and the console said that it succeeded. i can browse the web but when i go sign up for the playstation network, it says: an error has occurred (80023121). is psn down today or is something wrong with my ps3? thanks

When i try to log in on PS3 home page and do the register it says that the server is currently down and we should try later......

It must be the network my brother and I picked up two new PS3 and we are having the same error (80023121) maybe because we are trying this at 1:30AM NY time and is very late.

It has to be their server, because if everyone is having the same problem it should be for everyone, I tried changing my password and it says "An error has occured (80023121) .... so annoying.

Ever since the last PS3 update, it takes me at least two tries to get onto PSN. I've had my PS3 over 3 years now and never had this problem until the last update. Have you guys tried repeating the process a few times to see if it goes through?

Hey guys its just a waiting game, eventually you'll get the email to reset your password!! The reason for the error occured msg is because there are so many ppl trying to reset passwords, the emails are backing up! Just keep faith its took since last week when i updated to getting the email 2day! Hope this helps

Funny, I didn't have to wait for an email. At around 11:30pm on saturday 5/14 I tried to login just for the heck of it and managed to get the system update. After the update, I couldn't get to PSN - just got the maintanence message. 30 minutes later I tried PSN again and it let me change my password. I've been able to get online since.
