PS3 slim, audio via external speakers?

i have an lg 22" monitor that has DVI and VGA slot on it. Im wondering how do i connect the sounds to my external speaker because the HDMI port will be used.

If i connect the PS3 HDMI slot on my monitor via HDMI to DVI adapter, how will i connect the sounds?Is there any adapter that has HDMI to HDMI + 3.5mm jack on it?

The monitor, if it has HDMI, will almost certainly have an audio out port. This means that you can connect the PS3 into the HDMI (no need for any adapter) and then the speakers into the green audio out port. I'm not certain but you didn't say what monitor you had. . .

Btw is the monitor the W2261VP by any chance? I was thinking of getting it.
