Hi
Im wondering over whether i should get a pc or ps4 . Ive already had a PS4 and like it but i had some issues and had to give it for repair and and can now only receive a new one if i pay some money . However ive always wanted to build a gaming pc . If im building a pc id some spend a good amount of money to get some good parts . Im scared of switching to mouse and keyboard since ive always been a console player . I can play pretty well with a controller and dont want to be that noob that you run into on PCs . I play fps games such as battlefield and cod . Im not sure if i should make a change or stay with what im familiar with . I recently started playing csgo on my current pc (which isnt enjoyable at 40 fps ) and i think my aim is quite good considering the fact ive always been used to controller . But i would like to know which system has more players , more servers and more durability and as a whole more enjoyable

Thanks.

Pc's have lots of games available, can be upgraded to play more too, xbox controllers for pc is an option too. In these games i find a mouse can target the opposition way quicker and way more accurate.
Bf4 pc always has hundreds of players online

Since MW4 is coming out it really has me confused as i loved playing it on a controller but it feels weird to be playing it on mouse and keyboard . Maybe thats just me...

Thing is with ps4, it fails any part, the thing is likely junk, pc you can swap out a part that day and go again, parts are available all over the place and you yourself could easily do it.
That and the fact a good pc can serve so many more functions

I really do want a pc . But im afraid it wont live up to my expectations which is why im still pondering on the subject..

Yeah but I don't think that argument should even be thought about with a PS4. You buy it, use it for years with most likely zero problems. In fact, Battlefield and COD play very solidly on PS4 whilst Battlefield 4 is proven to be quite problematic on PC if you don't have the right specs.

You can use mouse and keyboard on ps4 with stuff like the XiM4

I own both, PS4 hasn't been on in a few months, PC on all the time. PC more useful and can run 4k monitor, PS4 disappoints me as not enough good games to play, if it didn't have so many Indie games it would have about as many games now as the N64 had. 90% of PS4 games already on steam, and the graphics is about level PC was 5 years ago

You can plug mouse/kb into a PS4 now, its just not useful anywhere outside the menu so not a huge step formward

I have both, I have a ps4 and a gaming pc. I bought the ps4 for games that have since been delayed and have yet to be released (persona 5). I do not use my PS4 much because my friends don't play multiplayer on a console anymore and the single player games are not out yet. That being said if you like a controller, already own the games, and enjoyed playing multiplayer the PS4 is MUCH cheaper. A good computer is expensive, then "gaming" peripherals add a lot to the cost (mechanical keyboard, mouse, good monitor, headset) granted these are not necessary but they do enhance the experience. That being said, a lot more games are available on the pc. The games that are not new releases are cheaper, and if you are a fan of indie games they usually come out on steam.

My PC was the better buy for me but it may be different for you. If you were to get a computer how much would your budget be. I think we would need to know that before we can give recommendations.

besides all the above advantages, playing with a mouse/keyboard is more challenging...hence more fun...
today u r pondering about pc vs ps4 coz u started ur gaming life with ps4...if u wud have had started with pc, u wudnt have been in this juncture of contemplation today...

PC was not always fun, PC in the days before DX, with needing specific hardware just to play the games right... guess in some aspects that hasn't changed a lot but games today generally just work, no need to mess with config files. Consoles are easier in that there is only one controller to design for, and known specs to deal with. PC, so many different combos its just as well we have DX now.

My first console was also my 1st computer, a Tandy colour in 1982. I have seen lots of changes in that time,. pc went from a boring business machine to a games machine in that time, it became what I had wanted it to be 30 years later than when I wanted it... consoles kept my interest alive until pc was ready to take over again. Now I have both and there is a place for both, different games play better on each.

tht cud be possible...but in todays context, pc beats all other platforms by miles...:)

Most of the games i play on PC don't work on console due to the lack of buttons. ARPG and strategy need more buttons than a standard console controller provide. If all I cared about was shooting games then the choices would be tougher, but I don't play them at all which makes choice much easier. I tend to play driving games on console mainly as the controller is easier to use than having to get a wheel and all that and having to have somewhere to put it. The only other games I play on console are exclusives.

Games are what sells consoles, not hardware. If hardware was all you needed, Nintendo would have run out of money years ago, and the Steam machine might have taken off. There is more to having amazing graphics, the games need to be fun too.

PS4 and Xb1 just tried to wow us with pretty graphics and remade editions of previous games, now PS4 repeating it again with VR. Can only remake the same games so many times in short succession. Need to branch out and try new things, not stay with what is safe. So many games play the same these days we don't even need a manual to play them.

I am not their audience, i worked out that ages ago. they don't want consumers that remember when they pulled this trick last time. They want to roll out 3d and VR every few years and act like its a new thing, get the young people who didn't see it last time and sell them a dream. Hype games up to be amazing and disappoint when reality slides in.

If im getting a pc my budget would be more than 1000 USD
