Not all gamers are sad loners. We have families, and the PS4 is usually connected to the biggest TV, which will be the main TV in the house. The ability to stream to a PC is a huge bonus for people who cannot monopolize the big TV all the time and don't want to keep unplugging it every time they want to play.

Ok, the "PS4 is located in the Living room but the TV is being used by someone else" reason makes a little bit of sense. The "Console exclusive" or "Awful PC port" doesn't because if you have the console, game on the console.

I'm from world where simplicity is God, keeping things simple is mandatory and Middle-ware needs to FOAD 😉

Like I said: You can play Fallout 4 and Witcher 3 on PC with a PS4 controller out of the box.

The PS4 controller already works on PC, it's just that it uses an old API that many game devs have abandoned over the years in favor of the significantly more popular Xbox 360 controller. Now that the PS4 controller is compatible to PC, more devs are starting to support it.

Sony has nothing to do on their end. It's all a matter of whether the game supports it or not.

If you want to play old games, you'll probably need a wrapper like DS4Tools or DS4Windows.
If you want to play newer games (PS4 era or newer), it probably works already.
If you want to play very old games (before Xbox 360 era), it probably works as well (assuming it supports controllers in the first place).
