I got in an older 4th gen system as part of a trade in deal (so to speak) for a Ryzen 3600 budget build. The moment the case was opened you could see this strange dust goo mixture. Sticky, dirty, hard to clean, just a mess for the system. The previous owner was complaining about stuttering and poor performance, and I am sure they were experiencing it. None of the cooling fans were doing much of anything. The residue left behind was cause for me to use 409 on a system for the first time. All Isopropyl was doing was to sort of loosen it into a sludge that would just 'paint' around as you worked the mess.

Not a great idea to smoke anything in proximity to your PC, but vaping certainly takes the cake. I have never had to clean a system so difficult as this.

Tests and experience have shown that vaping has no effect on breathing, no increase or worsening of COPD or asthma. Vaping get an undeservably bad rap. I say this as a former four pack a day smoker who quit by vaping and now neither vape or smoke.

The fans, cooler, and interior of the rig I cleaned all this muck out of tell a WAY different story. As anecdotal evidence, I have rarely met someone who vapes regularly that didn't have that "vape cough".

I feel very certain that a few more years down the road we are going to start seeing (more) serious physical issues/disease out of people who do this thinking it is safer than smoking. Consider that the nicotine fluids available can often be multiple cigarettes worth of the 'drug' in a single deep hit. Science has shown absolutely positively that nicotine causes cancer. Even says so on the side of every box of cigs.

I believe you may be out of your element making such a claim.
