I have a Used PSP 1001 that will not read UMD's, and I know why. The motor that is used to move the laser back and forth does not spin. At all. I would like to know if there is a way to fix this rather than just buying and replacing the umd drive altogether. The previous owner has dropped it, that much is evident. I've disassembled and assembled this PSP many times before, trying to fix various problems. I have seen some damage to the connectors on the motherboard at 2 places:
The power supplier to the screen, and on the umd motor ribbon connector. This might be the problem, but I don't know. The main motor that spins the disc works fine. Is there anyway to fix this short of replacing the umd drive altogether?
On a side note, is there a way I could fix the wifi error "An internal error has occurred. (80410A0B)"? Other than replacing the wifi card as well?
