Hello

I have this 4 external 3.5 HDDs using 4 external 12v power adapters.
I'm willing to avoid using those 4 adapters and use the power supply from the PSU.
The PSU is the Corsair CX 600:

I'm trying to assembly an extensiton from the PSU 12v Molex:

to the outside (throughout the case rear):

It already works using 1 molex --> 1 P4 plug.
My question is:
Can I use 1 molex to distribute the 12v to 4 HDDs using the splitter:

  • 1 molex --> 1x P4 plug spliter (4x P4).
OR should I assemble them idependently?

  • 1x molex --> 1x P4 plug
    1x molex --> 1x P4 plug
    1x molex --> 1x P4 plug
    1x molex --> 1x P4 plug
I'm willing to avoid using 4x molex so it won't mess inside the case.

how about just using a panel mount 4-pin molex to get outside....or a card slot mount....something like these: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p20506...
I thought of that but the HDD case plug for power is P4, not molex.
