Hi,

I bought PSU and it blew up (burned down) by itself. I bought it less than a year and its under warranty.

Is this damage covered by warranty? please help!

Solution
If its a reputable brand then they should cover any damages, if its a cheap no name fire hazard brand, then sorry to say but you're probably out of luck.

Check the manufacturers website about warranty information, then contact them if their warranty does indeed cover it. You may need to provide pictures for them to cover the damage.

Solution
Replace the psu with a new good one.
If all runs well, you will have confirmed that your old psu was bad and needs to be replaced under warranty.
I have done this with Corsair with no hassle.

When you get a replacement back, sell it unopened or keep it as a spare.
