So one day my motherboard dies. I replace it and about a week or two later my thermal take PSU blew out. I figured it could be a coincidence so I replace it. Got a Corsair 650 watt. Not two weeks later it blows out. I'm not sure what could be the problem here. It's damn near a brand new power supply. I will probably be taking it to geek squad on Friday to get it fixed but that could be causing this?

Specs
i7 4790k
16 gigs ram
ASRock extreme 4 motherboard
Rx480 4gig
Corsair 650 watt power supply

Solution
Here are couple of things you could try.
1. Check if there's proper air supply for the cooling of ur PSU.
2. Try adding up the total wattage drawn by your components eg. GPU, processor,IDE drivers etc, if it exceeds ur PSU wattage then you're in trouble.
3. Check ur wall socket by plugging in some other stuff like a bulb or something(or check using a multimeter if u have it).
4. Try plugging ur PC power supply cable in some other socket.
5. If you have over clocked something try turning it down.
Update us if something works.
