Hello, I am thinking of upgrading my graphics card to the new 3080 and I need to know if my PSU will support the 8+8+8 pin on the graphics card. I have lost my cables for my PSU so I am going to buy new ones.

RIG:
Ryzen 7 2700x
Asrock B450m Steel Legend
32gb Trident Z 3600
GPU Upgrade: GeForce RTX™ 3080 GAMING X TRIO 10G
Corsair CX650M

Thank you for your help.

You'll be pushing your lower budget power supply pretty hard with the GPU upgrade. You may want to consider upgrading the PSU to a higher quality model with more power.

- Corsair sells the replacement cables you need for PCIe.

- MSI recommends a 750 watt PSU for that card and you need to verify it will fit whatever case you're using. The card length is 323mm.

- Testing shows whole system power draw can exceed 500 watts. A little more headroom for the PSU might be a good idea but that's your call.
