First, this is my psu https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B00LMBWSI8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Sometimes when i need to do stuff in the back of the pc, i occasionally bump the PSU cable and the pc completely shuts off and restarts, if i move the cord around i hear a horrible electricity buzz from the psu, and that means everything but good, i thought this psu was really decent for its price.
I tried changing power cord but same story, can i somehow just tape the hell out of the cord so that it doesnt move at all to avoid this issue? Besides this the psu has always worked perfectly, absolutely no issues whatsoever.

Solution
I would consider getting another cord again, to make sure it's not the cords fault.

You could tape it, but I'm not aware of the tempratures the tape can handle and how hot your cord/psu gets.

If it has no real problem else then this, if it really bothers you, I would suggest getting a new psu.

"I tried changing power cord but same story" you never know, maybe it was just a bad cord.
I cant replace the psu because it's out of amazon's refund time window, so im just looking for home made solution.

I would replace the PSU.

Could be a fire hazard.

That's NOT a good PSU in the 1st place so I recommend replacing it with a higher quality unit.

Well i dont have the money for it so ill just tape it and regularly check if the cord is getting hot, and if im not using it the pc is most likely off as well as the psu switched off.

Kind of a old post now but i have taped the living crap out of it and i haven't had that issue since then, no weird noises, no random shutdowns, and the tape is doing just fine.
