I will be buying EVGA G2 650w from Amazon which I believe is going to have a US power cord.
The mains where I live are: type G plug type - 230V voltage - 50hz frequency.
Is a travel adapter going to be enough or I will need to get a different power cord?

Solution

Just make sure that the amperage rating for the cord is a match for the PSU, and you should be good to go.

Power cord adapters are never recommended as a long term solution. They are a stop-gap solution similar to the temporary use spare tire found in most of today's autos.
I recommend biting the bullet and getting the proper cord.

Thanks for your response. Is there anything I have to look for when buying the cord?

You want a C13 IEC connector with a type G type power plug. Ensure it has adequate length (usually 1.5 meters).

You can check which power cord comes with the power supply using the provided photos on the Amazon product page. Or from the model number suffix at the end, Y1 = US, Y2 = EU, Y3 = UK, Y4 = AU, Y7 = TW. Example "220-G2-0650-Y7"
