Doing a home build:
Asrock x399 Pro Fatal1ty
AMD 1920x threadripper
Evga GTX 1060
2x8gb Corsair ddr4 3000mhz vengeance ram
Evga 650W G3
I figured the 650w would be enough power; seemed that way from forum chats and online calculators - Asrock also makes no mention of required psu.
I put together the build, but PSU only comes with 24 pin and 1x8(4+4). Asrock has an additional 4-pin power connector for the cpu, which I try to complete without connecting. Obviously cpu doesn't get its power so when I fire it up, everything goes as normal but the Dr. Debug shows error 00 - cpu error. Okay, so I discover the extra 4 pin is definitely required.
Do I need to upgrade the PSU to a 750? Or can I get some cable that will help me out? Has anyone else run into this problem?
