Hey all

Need help again with my new itx system I'm going to build soon.

I've been looking at the XFX ts 430w as it is a tier 2 psu for a good price.
But the Thermaltake Core V1 only supports PSU up to 180mm in length

I really want the XFX psu but on scan.co.uk it says the length is
'331 x 431 x 307 (WxHxD)'

On XFX website for the 450w model it says the dimensions are
'Package Dimensions (cm) : 25 cm W x 17.3 cm H x 10.5 cm D'
There is also something called 'Master Carton Dimensions' which is even bigger than Package Dimensions.

Amazon says the dimensions are '30 x 25 x 15 cm'

So can you guys tell me if this PSU will fit and help me find the proper size of it, beacuse i'm really not sure.

-Thanks

I just built a machine with an EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G1 as the psu in the Core V1, fits with space to spare, and that's 180mm long. The PSU you are looking at is smaller and should fit no problem.

I'll be honest having built in the case a modular psu will be easier going, but a standard one is certainly doable, there's room to stuff cables at the bottom of this case! 😀

Also I believe the master carton is the size of the box the supplier is shipped... I had pc parts sent in a box re-used from transporting ASUS Mobos once.
Also in the pictures of this case on Thermaltake's website, they show their toughpower PSU getting used, but from looking at pictues, the toughpower looks longer than the XFX PSU.

I know I know, basically an idiot saying this as pictures obviously never do justice very well :)
