PSU for a 7970+OC'd 3770K?

I need the absolute BEST PSU that can power my 7970 And OC'd 3770k as well as my other hardware, with a little headroom, for 80$. I'm WILLING to go to 89.99 or some shat, but I'd really rather not. I was gonna by the corsair CX600 but I heard it wasn;t actually 600w, and 7970 Is a pretty beefy card. thanks!

Also if you say my CPU cooler earlier, I went with the V6, just because looks + price + performance. thanks

I always prefer low profile ram, but i suggested because it has a good price point, better cas latency(9) and lower voltage(1.35v).
And you have a good mobo, it's all good.

Kinda random, but.. Should I buy a 670 or a 7970? 670 is like 350, as where 7970 is like 380$. I'll be playing BF3, Bordelands 2, and Guns of Icarus, mostly. I've heard BF3 and BL2 leans toward nVidia.. Just wandering. Would also like to save the 20-30$

Like, I've seen a 7970 max out BF3 with AA with like 130 fps, but in some newegg reviews i see like "Never drops beloe 36 fps!" IMO 45 fps and up is playable. soooo :/

It will fit, the heatsinks are not that tall, by the contrary they're also as short as low profile ram, like i said it was the question of the timings and lower voltage of the crucial.
You'll be fine with either of those two.

Definitely at least 60FPS at 1080p. Without AA probably very high.

Both can get you 60 fps(or more)@1080 maxout, i have a preference for nvidia cards, they offer more smoothness, better mature drivers, exclusive features and stability.

but which maxes out better/performace? I can honestly say I've wanted to build my own comp since I was 6, and I've been saving since. I don't wanna mess this up and get the wrong thing (I am 14 ;p)

Both will perform about the same in performance, but the 7970 can be overclocked a bit more, About to the performance of a 680 if not more. But if you ask me, the 670 will last you longer, as it seems most companies are optimizing their games for CUDA nowadays.

That MSI 670 is a good choice. The Gigabyte Windforce X3 is also.

BTW if you didn't notice, you get $100 in games for free if you get the 670. That makes it a better choice all together.

Well GPU's with than design do run a bit hotter. Just know you aren't going to be seeing the front of the card at all. Just the side and a bit of the top.

Benchmarks will have changed for all cards slightly due to drivers. Some games saw up to a 20% improvement with this card versus a stock GTX670.

NOISE:
This is the QUIETEST card under load with this level of performance. A big part of the reason is the massive heat sink (it's a 3-slot card). I didn't need the extra slots and the backplate and three screws mount it in solidly; no worries of bending.

*NOISE is a very, very big deal to many people. Poor graphics card and CPU coolers are the biggest noise makers. Unlike CPU's however, the cooling solution on a graphics card is not easily changed. DO NOT get a reference cooler design.

There are HD7970's now with similar performace (though it's back and forth between games) however raw performance isn't the entire picture. (PHYSX, TXAA, *GPU BOOST, Geforce Experience, Adaptive VSYNC).

- GTX680 DC2T ($520) is the fastest 600 series and back and forth with the FASTEST of the HD7970's

- Make sure to get a good COOLING solution, and look at the Warranty/quality etc.

- Make sure to REDEEM your game coupons ASAP after buying the card.
