I recently bought a second Powercolor Radeon HD 6970 and when installing discovered my current PSU didn't have enough connectors to accommodate the second card. Recommendations for a good, Crossfire ready/certified power supply would be much appreciated.

CPU: Intel i7-2600 @3.4GHz 8M LGA

CPU Fan: Asetek 510LC 120MM watercooling

HDD: 1 TB SATA III 7200 RPM 3.5"

RAM: 16GB DDR3 PC3 PC1333

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z68AP-D3 Intel Z68 Crossfire DDR3 SATA3 USB3

Current PSU: XtremeGear 800w (I'm now aware XtremeGear is an awful brand.)

GPU: 2 Powercolor Radeon HD 6970s, 2-way Crossfire

OS: Windows 8.1 Pro

was thinking 800W was more than enough for those cards may be put up at least a 80+ gold PSU like Antec's HCP series or corsair's HX series PSUs

The wattage is more than though. It's just that there's not enough connectors to accommodate the second graphics card, and the current PSU isn't modular. That, and since XtremeGear is a brand notorious for awful quality, it might be a good idea to get a new PSU anyway.

Would one suffice? Because my first 6970 has both a 6+2 pin and a 6 pin pci-e's connected, and I'm not sure how many spare molex cords I have not connected to anything. If an adapter takes two molex, I believe I'd end up being one molex short for one adapter if I require two adapters.

Forgive me for my ignorance. This rig was built by a service rather than myself, so I'm rather inexperienced.

Thanks a ton, sir. Once I'm home and have my PC up and running I'll make sure to pick your post as the solution.

Edit: And thank you for the quick replies as well.
