I'll buy a GTX 770, msi gtx 770 tf to be exactly...i would ask if my PSU is ok for the card. This is my PSU:

http://www.seasonicusa.com/images/G-series/G-series-450-550-650-03-450.jpg
its 37A

if im going to manually calculated the power
GPU (230watts) + CPU (84watts) + other parts (100watts -maybe-), its no more than 410watts...
i know the psu requirement from nvidia is 600 watts but thats not efficient, is too overkill if manually calculated

this is my current rig
i5 4670k with thermalright true spirit 120
asrock z87 ext 6
gskill ares blue 2x4gb pc12800 cl9
wdc 1 TB cav blue
6 fan, (xigmatek xsf 1252)
mouse keyboard combo wireless (logitech mk330)
and seasonic g450...
i want my rig efficient with power consumption, so it thought g450 its good
my friend say even seasonic g360 could run i7 3770k(stock) + gtx 670

sorry for grammatical and spelling, english isnt my 1st language... prob 3rd -_-

Well, you're pushing your luck very hard...

From the top of my head, your computer should use at max around 420 W of power. Adding 50 W to be safe gets us to 470W...
So.. With 450 W you should be able to run your computer, but you can not even think about overclocking anything (be that your CPU or your GPU).

As for the recommended vendor values - those are calculated at the worst case scenario /which would be the power hungry AMD FX procesors plus BD player, SSD+HDD drive and few tweaks, which could kick them easily in the 500+ range./
About the stuff your friend says - well... the maximum power consumption of that PC is 360W, so the PSU can handle it. BUT! As the PSU ages it loses some its juice. So If you don't factor in the ~50 W for safety measures, it may happen that the 360 W PSU won't be able to handle the PC /which will come sooner than you think/.

thx for the solution...
im not even think about overclocking cpu or gpu or both... and this psu i'll just use it in this rig for about no more than 2-3 years.. after that, i'll change my psu to platinum 850 and sli the 770 😀 or change gpu to nvidia volta -if it already release-

i use g450, because where i live now, my house have max power about 1300va... aaand i'm not the one who lived here... there should be 5 more people with laptops -_-... thats the reason why i wanted to be so efficient

anyone have their 2 cents for me?

sorry again for grammar

I would not recommend running that system with a gtx 770 on a 450w, 37a on +12v,
please see the two links below. Two different sites that specialize on PSU power needed:

http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm

http://forum-en.msi.com/faq/article/printer/power-requirements-for-graphics-cards

As you can see, they recommend 575 & 600w for a system with a gtx770, more importantly
42a on the +12v rail is recommended
(you have 37a). I believe a quality 550w unit would suffice,
a 450w unit I wouldn't risk.

Oh, please be aware the total wattage of the PSU doesn't help your
system be more efficient. The PSU will pull the power from the wall that
your components require at any point in time.

PSU efficiency is related to it's design and quality of manufacture, not it's power output.

A PSU with more power than you need (within limits of course) may actually be beneficial
to a small extent as it will use less of it's total available power and will run
cooler
as a result. And might be more likely to be in the PSU's "sweet spot" range
of efficiency, typically 40-60% of it's total power rating.

So, running a system that should have a 575w PSU with a 450w will definitely
not help efficiency!
