Greetings all, hope ur all can help me,iam planning to upgrade my pc psu and add a discrete gpu....can u all recommend what cheap psu for my pc

The first question i have is what gpu are you wanting to get?

If i had to assume your wanting a discrete gpu for gaming purposes and you don't wanna be bottle-necked down by your cpu i recommend you get entry level gpu (gtx 650 or something of the same power) now for your Power supply i would recommend getting any wear from a 500W to a 600W

last question is your price range for you PSU.

ill leave some links to some good reliable PSU but first we need to know your factors

Well your computer is pretty dated so anything more than an hd7770 would be pointless as the rest of the computer will bottleneck it. In that case 450w is plenty stick ONLY with Antec, XFX, Corsair, Seasonic.

The best PSU for your situation would either be the Antec VP-450, or the Corsair CX-430. Both are high quality PSUs for a great price and will easily power your system with a low-mid range GPU.

500-600w is overkill for a 650. 450w would be much more reasonable and you can get a higher quality 450w for the money like the PSUs I suggested.

sorry but do you think you could tell us the specific processor you have in your computer because i see i can have 3 different possessor's and if its either the single core Athlon or AMD Sempron then you might wanna suggest thinking about upgrading your cpu too. Its probably an AM3 soccet not a AM3+ so you might wanna go with AMD phenom II 965. but there hard to get a good deal on because the discontinued

but this is all under the assumption that the reason you want to install a new PSU and GPU is for gaming purposes

price range does't matter but i would prefer cheap psu because i want to save money for my gpu but i only play ges like dota 2 and assasin creed 3....so low end or mid range gpu would be ok

ok hears A cheap 450W but im warning you its not good quality but if the price is more important the quality to you than hears one

Now if you want a good reliable PSU for entry level gaming then hear are some good ones

Now agian i should warn you none of this stuff will matter if you don't have a CPU just as powerful as your GPU so make Sure you at least have the AMD Athlon ii X2 on your system but i would still suggest upgrade because your gonna have a bad bottleneck from it.

The ONLY good PSU here is the Antec. The rest are complete junk.
