PSU Having Issue

hi, i recently bought the parts and built new computer. It worked great until now and had this computer for 2month. everything was great until I left my phone plugged into my rigg and i got call on my phone so i touched my phone to answer then as soon as i touch my phone i felt little shock and computer turned off and now it wont even start. do you think psu is fried? its evga 850 gold.

Sounds like you may have discharged static into your PC through your phone. In principle, that discharge should have been carried by the phone's aluminum/magnesium frame to the USB port's shield safely to ground but if there is a loose ground connection anywhere along the path, it may have jumped to data lines and caused "SCR latch-up" in the PC's USB port circuitry.

Translation: if I'm correct, your motherboard got fried.

Since power supplies have massive capacitors across all of their outputs, it is extremely unlikely that any remotely reasonable amount of ESD on any output would cause any meaningful damage. That discharge through USB ports would also need to travel over the motherboard first which adds yet more capacitors on the 5V...
