Hello!

I have recently built a budget gaming PC.

Specifications:

CPU: Intel Pentium g3258 anniversary edition (overclocked to 4.2 Ghz)
MOBO: ASrock H97M Anniversary motherboard
RAM: 2 x 4G Kingston Hyper X Fury blue
PSU: SHAW EVO-775MAX Gaming PSU (Which I am having troubles with)
CPU Cooler: DeepCool Lucifer V2
GPU: Radeon HD 6850 Powercolor

However, with most cheap PSU's. They tend to not last long. After 3-4 days of having the computer, the PSU has already given up. Therefore, forcing me to buy a new one.

I am just wondering if anyone in the Tom's Hardware community has any knowledge of good, budget PSU's that are a minimum of 500W, so it will be able to run my system, and be able to last.

Any suggestions and comments are greatly appreciated.

Thank you kindly.

I'd avoid the Corsair PSUs. That's probably the most common statement made on these forums and for good reason. The Corsair budget PSUs like the CX, CX, VS and RM are not built with as good internal components and many other similarly priced units. They use Chinese caps and have a few other cut corners internally.

From what I can see there, I think I'd go with the Antec Neo Eco 620w which is the same price as the Antec High Current Gamer 520w, both based on the Seasonic S12II platform. Either unit would be a fine choice but for the extra 100w at the same price I'd go with the 620w.

Hello! I would like to thank you for the fast responses. I really appreciate it. However, the power supply you have listed is not available in my local computer shop (www.msy.com.au) and since shipping is quite expensive, that is a problem for a budget build like mine. I will however, see what I can find myself (I already had seen a Corsair 550W PSU for $69.00) but PSU's are really not my forte, nor expertise.

Again, thank you kindly.
