PSU Help ! PC wont turn on.

today i bought a new PSU.
Thermaltake Smart SE 730W Modular
1st time it turned on after i restart to check the bios it ddnt turn on back .
after a few minutes i just waited some time.
i tried plugging in only the 8pin and 24pin .
i turned on but after that i switched it of then i wont start again . anyone can help me ?
 
Solution
Check all connections and make sure that all hardware items are working well. You can have a laptop which is easy to be used and cost effective. Here is a collection for your checking:

Assuming that the PSU is not doa, try holding down the power button on your case for a couple of seconds. The lights might flash on and off for a split second, then release the power button and try turning it on again.

One of the PSU protection circuits is slightly out or faulty.
A good way to test this is to remove the cord from the back of the PSU to the wall for about 30 seconds
Then plug it back in.

And see if it powers up fine.
The other thing that can cause havoc is if the cord is attached to a power surge extension.

Just have a test to confirm it is not a protection circuit not resetting in the PSU.
