While Im playing games I can hear buzzing sounds coming from my PSU. Different games make different buzzing sounds and sometimes changes tune when Im looking around in game. Its a 750W PSU and is about 1 year old now. Is there any solution to this problem without having to buy a new one, if not what would you recommend.
Specs
CPU: AMD FX 4100 quad
RAM: 8MB
GPU: 7970 black edition
PSU: Antec 750W

Are you sure it is the PSU? my guess is that is is your GPU which is blowing at variable speeds depending on how much power the game/area is demanding.

I thought that at first and I got it replaced today actually only to find the problem has not gone away. Is it possible that my PSU has just gone bad and is struggling to keep up now?

Try playing your game again and wait for the strange sound to return, then, very carefully take a pencil or something like that and try to stop the fan with it (not for more than a few seconds) and see if it stops. If so, you just need to replace the fan.

Which brand did you buy? Antec PSUs are usually very reliable.

For me, while I was playing games after a minute or so I would get a black screen and hear looped sounds and I'd have to restart. I guess it turned bad and couldn't handle heavy loads anymore so I replaced it.

Your situation could be coil whine or a sign that its turning bad. Is it an old PSU?

Its actually got better recently... Kind of strange.
