PSU or CPU Cooler upgrade advice

Well after a long research I have come up with 2 options for the system upgrade at this moment, they are as follow-
Note- I have increased my budget for a GTX 970 coz it seems to be a greater value for money rather than a GTX 960 4gig. So the GPU upgrade is fixed.

Now the 2 upgrade with the GPU,

1. CPU Cooler- Since my old CPU cooler has accumulated some dust on it was thinking to change it with a AIO liquid cooler from Cooler master. Although I am facing no issues with my current cpu cooler.

2. PSU- Another thing is the PSU I have a 6 yr old Cooler Master 500W PSU, which is lacking a 8 pin pcie connector for gpu, and is ageing. So a PSU upgrade is also an option. Which one to get if I get a GTX 970

So my question is which one should I go for GPU with PSU upgrade and hold the CPU cooler for next to next month OR should I go for GTX 960 which only needs a 6-pin connector which my old PSU has and, get a Liquid cpu cooler?

Thus GPU with PSU OR Less powerful GPU with CPU Cooler?

First off, I might consider holding off the GPU upgrade. With nVidia releasing the 1080 tomorrow and the 1070 in a little bit, the prices for the 970 should come down.

As for a PSU, I'd suggest something in the EVGA G2, P2, GX, or GS series. These are very good supplies.

Well I am from India so likelihood of prices of 970 going down is very low, still may happen as I saw some retailers in my city getting ready to deliver 1080 . and EVGA is not vastly available in India and even if I find one there are no service points here, so please can you recommend some other alternative for PSU?

OK being that your from India, I've pulled up a couple PSU's at FlipKart. I've included two which according to Tom's PSU Tier List are Tier 2 supplies.

Seasonic S12II 520 Watts

Seasonic S12II 620 Watts

Since I don't know any system specs (other than your prospective graphics card and your old PSU), it's kind of difficult to recommend power range, so I give you a 520 and 620 W. Seasonic are very well respected.

The only other PSU that I'd recommend that's in stock is this one:

Antec VP550 550 Watts

Normally I don't recommend much below Tier 2, but this is a Tier 3 and depending again on your system, it might do the trick. I know that people have a budget, so I thought I would throw one out there that was a bit cheaper. Corsair has some supplies on FlipKart, but none of the models they advertise I would be willing to recommend. Corsair has some good supplies, just not the models listed on FlipKart.

As for prices drops, I'd give it a couple weeks, maybe a month, you should see the prices start to drop on the 970. Just don't wait too long, once the prices start to drop, they'll go pretty quick. I don't know how may 970's are in the retail channel, but they'll likely clear out fast once the prices drop.
