So, im planning on buying a GTX 1060, and a 700W psu, but not really sure what to buy first... I have 550W atm, but not sure that it would be enough. Also, is PSU 700W Deepcool DA700N 80PLUS Bronze Black a good PSU for the price
you want to use a good unit likie seasonic focus.xfx or higher end cosair units. 650w will be fine with today gpu. you want to get the power supply first then wait for the newer 11xx gpu that are dropping soon.
550 should hold up to 1080 so nothing stoops you from getting yours 1060. Please consider waiting for official release of 11 series as at least prices will go down.
depending on your current PSU it will easily be enough for a 1060
a quality 550W PSU can easily run an OC'd i5+1080Ti
if your current one is crap, you might wanna swap it anyway. no need for 700W, rather go quality than wattage. something like a Bitfenix Formula, Corsair TXM, Seasonic Focus
Okay so I see a lot of people are saying wait for the new gen and stuff, but im getting a GTX 1060 6gb OC for less than 240$, so I guess its pretty good considering the price, but about the PSU, my current one isnt the best, and im kinda on a budget, considering I only have a summer, and not a full-time job
The wattage is fine but I would refer to Manual to see if the 12v can deliver the necessary power. Generally speaking, the cpu gpu combo is not very taxing......
