Question PSU recommendation regarding RTX 4070 Ti Super

Hello to everyone! (new member here, and sorry in advance for my lack of technical terms - I don't know much about electricity)

I bought an ASUS RTX 4070 TI Super. My PSU is Antec 850W (bought it in 2016).

The cable that came with the 4070 has two 8pins.

The PSU has two separate PCIe (6+2) 8 pin cables that fit into these:

And the Antec 850W PSU has these available ports:

My question is, is it safe for me to plug the two PCIe (6+2) cables into one of these 12v ports, one next to the other? Does it matter which 12V port I use? Do you think I need to buy a new PSU or can I use my holy relic from 2016?

I thank you for all your help in advance!

It's 1:10 AM where I'm at, so please forgive me if I don't respond to any future queries for the next 16 hours (sleep + work).

I appreciate all the time and help you might provide. Thank you!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

My PSU is Antec 850W (bought it in 2016).
Antec is the brand of the unit, while 850W is the advertised wattage of the unit, what is the model of the unit?
Also, if this Antec PSU is a no-go with 4070, then I'd be grateful if you would be so kind to recommend another PSU for this graphics card.

I don't know if this plays a role when picking one, but my motherboard is also from 2016 (MSI Z97-GAMING 5 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard).

Thank you for your time and help!

What is your budget and from where are you likely to purchase a new PSU?

I would replace that old PSU.

Hi! Yeah, I'm somehow leaning towards replacing it as well.

The budget... ehh, up to 350€ if necessary for this to work smoothly (I'm from Croatia). I buy my stuff from these two places:

Grab one of these. Gives you some headroom for possible future upgrades.

Good quality and affordable.

IF you have to use that PSU i would plug one PCIe cable into the +12V1 and +12V2 so you are drawing power off the two different rails.

Call me paranoid, but i went with an ASUS PSU to match the Asus card, figured if they were sourcing the power connector for one then they were for the other. Just wanted to make sure i had no issues with the connectors. I also well oversized the PSU not knowing what Nvidia was doing with the 5000 series cards.
