Im thinking of a PSU replacement for my thinkcentre m58 E tower. Problem is do they use proprietary connectors or standard. Cause i know that the motherboard and CPU and SATA connectors are same but not sure about the others. Thanks.

If it is the tower on the left:

Then it should use a standard ATX power supply. There are no proprietary connectors, any ATX replacement will work. If you open the case and post a pic I can confirm the size, but everything I can find says its a normal ATX PSU.

Yeah thats a standard ATX PSU, anything normal will fit.

What are the specs of your computer and what are you planning to add, I can make a particular recommendation.

That processor is nearly 8 years old. While you could get a PSU and GPU (and you don't need anything fancy with such a weak system) you aren't going to be able to play a lot of newer stuff. What games are you looking to play, what GPU were you considering?

To be honest it may not be worth putting the money into this system.

Hi , i have the same atx case as the left one but with an amd system ,280w original psu and a gpu i added (gtx 750).
It works ok but i was thinking to replace the MoBo to AMD AM1 and join an athlon 5350 cpu ,which got 4 cores .
Will it mach the case ? How about front umbilicals connectors ? I thank u for your reply and anything else that comes to your mind in that regard.

It may not work as the case may not have standard ATX mounts, there is no way to really know without trying it, but I suggest you start your own thread on this. Also AMD AM1 Athlon 5350 is ancient, it may not even work with your 750ti and is likely a big downgrade from whatever came in this system.
