PSU requirement for GTX 660 Ti SLI

Solution
I assume you mean your total +12v rail amps are 40A. Absolutely it will. But bear in mind that SLI is a slowly dying platform with game developers (poor scaling on the second card, no SLI support at all at initial game release, buggy, etc.). You can thank consoles for that. I likely had my last SLI solution when I recently sold my 970s and got a single 1080Ti. The writing was on the wall from Nvidia as well when they stopped officially supporting three and four way SLI with Pascal.

Okay thanks for the info and a quick reply.

That's of course assuming you have checked the cards that each only uses 1x 6-pin PCI-E power connector from the power supply and not two (your PSU has two 6-pin connectors with one being a 6+2 pin). My old GTX 680s use two 6-pin connectors each and some of the aftermarket 660Ti GPUs like ASUS's DirectCU II TOP 660Ti use two as well.

with 3 12v rails and each have 40A on them

Well that's obviously wrong. 120A * 12V = 1440W. Is this a 1.5kW PSU, or a 550W like you said? If they combine for 40A, that comes out to 480W which is possible for a 550W PSU.

As mentioned it's going to depend on your 660TIs. Most of them came with needing a single 6Pin plug. This makes them a ~150W card. Two of them would need ~300W, and then you'll need anywhere from 100-175W more depending on your system and CPU. Total draw would be anywhere from 400 to nearly 600W. So it's either very possible or not at all possible depending on your System/CPU.

I don't know man just check take a look at the PSU

P.S Sorry for the late response.

Click on your link, go down to where it says "output table". Yes, there is a 40A under each 12V rail. But if you look under those 40A, you'll see another bar that says 550W. It's stretched from 12v1 to 12v3. What this means is that each rail is set to handle a max of 40A at once, but the PSU as a whole can't do more than 550W. Or, each rail alone can handle 40A, but the PSU can't send more than (550W/12V) 45.83A down all the 12v rails at the same time. As I said above, if it could do 40A on each rail all at once, it would be a 1440W PSU, not a 550W.

As for if you can do it, nothing has changed from my answer above.

I don't have much money. I wanna win those cards on eBay auctions for low price and 1060 and 1070 is great but it's too new so there aren't many auctions for it and which are they cost a lot. For example I won an auction for my friend on 750 ti for 49$ last year and it works so well even now.
