System:
PSU - Turbolink ATX-XG500W (500W)
CPU: AMD FX-4300 Quad Core 3.8GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT720 (1GB)
RAM: 8GB DDR3

I've got my 500W PSU and I am planning on buying an GTX 1060 graphics card. Specified power supply is 400W+ and mine is 500. Using the wattage calculator I got ~370W that I need with the new graphics card.
Now, the problem is that I don't have a 6-pin PCI cable from my PSU (I already ordered an adapter from molex to 6 pin) but since my power supply is powerful enough, could I safely connect it with the adapter?

Solution

The Turbolink made by Apevia is a very very poor PSU , you need to upgrade your power supply. A 500w power supply with no 6 pin is a sign of how poor the quality is.

Don't use adapters with very poor power supplies , bad idea.

your system is not good enough for a 1060

max it can handle half way decently is a gtx 1050 ti and even then it will get bottlenecked

also that power supply is crap and should not be even running a toaster, dont assume it can ACTUALLY deliver its rated wattage making that assumption will only lead to tears

before you get anything decent you are going to need to upgrade that

I see, so then I will look in further to buy a good power supply, thnx!
