Hey everyone

I've been looking at upgrading my system and suddenly I'm unsure if my PSU is going to be enough for the new GPU.

Current system:
ASUS Z490-I
i9 10900
ASUS ROG Strix 2080 Ti OC
2x16 GB RAM
2x M.2 and 1x SATA SSD
2x 120mm fans

I was using this setup with a 650W gold PSU (the one in the InWin A1 PLUS) and it didn't provide enough power and caused shutdowns the moment I started anything.
Upgraded to a SF750 (750W platinum) and resolved that issue.

But as I want to upgrade to an ASUS ROG Strix 3090 (not OC), I'm uncertain if the PSU will be enough?

Most calculators (apart from BQ) say it should be sufficient.
Estimates my system to anywhere from 500-600W usage.
BQ only has 3080 in their list, but estimates my usage to be 800-900W using that.

With the CM 850W PSU "only" being gold rated I can't imagine it'd give me much.
Using a CM NR200P case now, meaning there is room for SFX and SFX-L PSUs.

Thanks in advance.

Solution
Best to wait for reviews of the 3090. However NVidia recommend a 750w for the 3090 when running a 10900k. This is the cpu they base their 750w recommendation on.

Yeah. Now ASUS has a 850W PSU recommended.
Been waiting for them for a week now, hoping for their support to have a response.

3090 FE looks like 750W recommended as you mentioned, as so does the other AIBs, such as MSI (X Trio), EVGA (FTW), Zotac, etc.
Which gives me hope.

@taeioum
I was using this, along with the 2080 Ti ROG and and a 650W gold wasn't sufficient. So unless you mean efficient W, then 600W is unfortunately realistic.
Even a simple game would crash it (CS:GO) after a short while, Rainbow 6: Siege it'd shut down the moment I entered a game.
Gave up using it for work related stuff until I got the SF750.
