OCZ ModXStream 600W Supply blew randomly earlier in the year whilst running the build seen in the attached file. OCZ are sending me an RMA product, the same as the 600W model.

Do you guys think this was just a random occurrence that it blew like that, or is there something funny going on?

I just recently got an after market solution fitted on my GPU, a HD 6950 2gb model, now fitted with Accelero Arctic Twin Turbo ii.
Will the 600W supply be powerful enough to run my system when the 4650 is replaced with my HD 6950 2gb and the after-market solution?

I was thinking of investing in a supply like: http://www.amazon.co.uk/CorsairBuil.../dp/B00ALK3QRS
if the OCZ ModXStream 600W isn't enough.

Also someone has recently suggested the Corsair GS600 for my system, anyone got any advice/opinions on that? I am on a budget here, of perhaps £70 max!

Any advice would be much appreciated!

GS600 is a CWT (Channel Well Tech) made PSU, which is top quality manufacturer. Even the not so well known products of this manufacturer last for years. (I have an old Chieftec CWT PSU 8 years old!!!) Its also the manufacturer for HX750 to HX1050 PSUs.
If you want the GS600, go for it :)

edit: Is there a TX500 corsair model? cause I never heard it :p
Hello.
From the quality PSU like XFX and Corsair:
This is the best you can find with the £70
XFX P1-650X-XXB9 £70.39
And this is the cheapest you can find:
Corsair CX500M £48.02

Both of them are more than capable to run a system with HD6950...

edit: At anandtech they needed 300watt for whole system while heavy gaming.

Thanks for the rapid response! Do you think the corsair GS series are reliable? Should I go with a 500W TX Model? The one you linked there, the best one, is a bit expensive including delivery etc. I have my eyes set on that GS600 for some reason, but I would like some opinions on it :)

Thanks a lot Memnarchon, I think I will get the GS! Nah I think there is only TX 650, 750 and so on? But those get quite expensive! Gonna go for the GS600! Hopefully Amazon will let me have it by tomorrow ;)
