So I need to buy a new PSU for my recently purchased Sapphire R9 390. Yet Im still unsure whether tier 2 is worth it? Ideally I want to OC, so I was thinking of going for a 750W+/850W+ and GOLD+ yet that alone hits or goes over price limit of 130ish CAD

Plus theirs so god damn many, so ANY advice is welcomed.

So far I've kinda narrowed it down to these two

EDIT - Theirs also these 2 I found were recommended after searches In specific to my card and it's techincal wattage usage.

But now I am wondering if I am focusing on the Brand Name too much and thus missing equally good and cheaper PSUs

While I understand that, what I meant is I ONLY know of a few brands (EVGA, CORSAIR, SEAGATE) and was feeling like I am skipping over lesser known but equally well made PSU's

Tier list is there to let people know the good and bad units out there, very important for first time PC builder who might buy a bad PSU.

Tier 1 and 2 are good enough. PSUs of Seasonic and Superflower are generally very good. EVGA B2 you have selected is from superflower.

For a single R9 390, 750w is more than enough power.

From what you both said about superflow should I lean towards the G2/B2?
Also is there anyway to tell its made by certain company like 'Superflower'

EDIT are the names beside the PSUs in the PSU tier list the manufactures so a G2 is made by Superflower?

God this PSU picking is actually a nightmare to a noobie, so many to choose from. I mean I do not really see myself running 2 390s as i'd probably just go for a 980ti or something (and that's way way in the future), so I am now wondering if 850W+ is needed, and instead should just go for either the 750W+ B2/G2 ($80 for B2 $120 g2) or this 650W+ P2 (http://www.ncix.com/detail/evga-supernova-650-p2-80-85-114120-1324.htm).

AHHHHH, anyways thanks so much for your advice! hopefully I can pick something in a day or two so I can make sure this card wasn't also defective.
