Thanks Nuckles, I was hoping for something that was platinum in terms of energy efficiency but I'm not really sure if there is that much difference between gold and platinum anyway?

Ill be running 10hdd's and 2x 1080's OC to start with as well as a number of USB devices etc from some quick numbers i think 1000w should be sufficient and give me a bit of room if I decide to add a 3rd 1080 in the future.

Thanks again

Hi Alan,

PcPartpicker puts me at 828w not including additional fans or the 3rd 1080 or overclocks.

Cheers
Maglor

Hey guys . I had chosen the evga g2 750w psu for my new gaming build which is t1. But since I can't get where I'm from I was wondering if the corsair rm750i is equal or better . I think it's a t1 psu too but I can't really figure if it's worth it .both of them on my country are priced the same so price doesnt matter . I am planning on Ocing on
my z170 ranger mobo my 6600k cpu and my r9 390x gpu .anWhat do you think?

The EVGA is better than the RMi, but about on part with the RMx if I remember right. Any of those 3 are a major improvement over the original, overpriced toaster referred to as the RM 750. The Seasonic X 750 should be available in your location and is probably cheaper than the RMi

What do you mean? It was just updated like two days ago.

I'd go with the G2 but you can't go wrong either way.

3 and 4 way SLI ARE SUPPORTED in 1xxx pascal, but you need a enthusiast key to unlock them in driver, which nvidia will provide upon request free of charge - Check here

They are saying for gaming NVIDIA will not give support natively, the game developer has to give support and write codes himself for it.

From what i've red RMi is a better version of the RMx that's why it costs 20$ more. I guess i will buy it since i can't find any other worthy psu from T1 that is around that price in my country.
the seasonic costs 45 euro more than the RMi.

Okay who was trying to use a Tier 5 300-watt PSU to run four GTX 1080s in SLI (or two R9 390X IIs in CrossfireX) near Borrego Springs, CA? :) (We just had a 5.2 earthquake an hour ago.)

I may have laughed a bit too much at that, I can confirm it wasn't me though (I'm in Australia)
I reckon it was a logisys unit personally

haven't tried mindfactory but due to the capital controls here in greece we can't buy from europe or in some cases europian suppliers don't import in greece nowadays... i ordered from a greek store the RM750i and i am waiting on their response to see if they can get it to me
