PSU. To a P8 connector... but how?

Hi, my PSU just gave up on me and now I'm trying to replace it. I'm having some problems understanding the compatibility, the original pc was build about 9 years ago and my motherboard (Gigabyte GA-MA790FXT-UD5P) requires a P8 pin.

Its the white 8 pin connector in the upper right of this picture

Now, the PSU I want to buy has all the connectors I need to connect my components except the P8. Its does however hold a CPU12V 4+4 Pin connector. Can I use this to connect to the P8 slot or do I need some adapter? Or is this not compatible at all?

The new PSU I wanna buy is the Coolermaster G550M and has these connectors in total:
MB 20+4 Pin x 1
CPU12V 4+4 Pin x 1
PCI-e 6+2 Pin x 2
SATA x 6
4Pin Peripheral x 3
4Pin Floppy x 1

Thanks in advance for helping me!

Solution
It should be, the 4+4 connector on your PSU. The motherboard manual lists it as "1 x 8-pin ATX 12V power connector" and you're using an ATX power supply. The pwoer supply uses a 4+4 cable to make it compatible with boards that have a 4 PIN CPU power. In your case you use both parts of the cable
