PSU without a fan?

Okay the question is will my 300w psu work without a fan, i will be using it only to power a set of two UV light strips so i can illuminate my desk in a cool way.

As in the built in fan broke, or you would disable it? 2 UV light strips should not draw much power so you're probably fine either way, the PSU is just not being driven enough to run hot.

Why not just use a 12V adapter for the light strips?

There are PSUs that don't have fans.... whether your PSU can handle that will depend on the design.

Thanks for your help guys, and no i didnt disable the fan, it broke considering its a almost 5 year old psu i had laying in my box for a while. I will also see if i have a friend that has that 12v adapter.
