System specs
psu: apevia ATX-ES700-WH
mobo: ASrock B550M PRO4
ram: 2x8GB corsair vengeance LPX
gpu: RX 6700 XT
cpu: AMD Ryzen 5 5600

Solution
The U.S 110v-120v (60Hz)
Well, at the very least, you've killed the fuse in the PSU.
NOTE: This is not a user fixable thing.

And even if it wasn't 'dead'. the Apevia PSU needs to be tossed in the Recycle Bin anyway.
Pure junk.

So...get a new, good quality PSU. And hope nothing else died in your system.
You pretty much upgraded the PSU as it's objectively superior now that there's no chance of anyone accidentally using it. That your friend told you to crank click the voltage switch -- which shouldn't even be on any PSU worth buying in the last 15 years -- then they're dangerously incompetent and you should never listen to their advice in this area again.

Here's one popular PSU tier list.

Tier B in a pinch, preferably Tier A. Don't even look at anything below.

ah alright then thanks for the help

I haven't seen a computer PSU with a red voltage 110/220V AC selector switch since AT PSUs were superseded by ATX PSUs back in 1995.

It takes me back to the days when equipment still had voltage selector switches.
