Try reinstalling PTW. If you want to save your previous HOF scores and ini
settings, just backup the highscores.cv3 and ptw.ini files and replace them
AFTER you have started a new dummy game (incase they get replaced when
generated anew).
Do a directx diagnostic (or try this first). Start >> Run >> dxdiag
Make sure your video driver is up to date to be compatible with the newer
directx.
Try disabling the intro video via PlayIntro=0 in the ini file.
Try Refresh=60 or 75 or (whatever you 'know' your desktop setting is) in the
ini file.
Make sure you have the proper monitor driver installed via Device Manager
and not the 'Plug and Play' driver.
As you can see, my suggegtions point to a video problem of some sort.
