This CNN article suggests beta release Friday:

Microsoft's Ballmer touts 'best version of Windows ever'

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (CNN) -- Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer kicked off the 2009 International Consumer Electronics Show on Wednesday ...
... As expected, Ballmer announced that Microsoft is releasing a beta version of Windows 7, which will be available for download beginning Friday. The news suggests the world's largest software maker may be giving up efforts to rehabilitate its often-maligned Vista operating system, which was released worldwide in January 2007.

==========
Any ways, I hate the new website lay out.

I already have this up and running. Honestly, it seems just like Visat to me and I actually like the new status bar LESS tha in Vista.

Like all M$ I look at it and think , "Why the HECK did it take these guys YEARS to come up with THIS?" For me, it is just a spit and polish on Vista that seems more like a re-skinning than anything new or dramatic.

News from Windows 7 website.

Thanks for your interest in the Windows 7 Beta. The volume has been phenomenal—we're in the process of adding more servers to handle the demand. We're sorry for the delay and we'll re-post the Beta as soon as we can ensure a quality download experience.

Or should I have said, No News?

You would think a company like Microflop could afford to put more than two guys with laptops on the job to handle 2.5 mil downloads. LOL!

I am trying this method, but keep getting an error. I think I'll call the escort service and call it a night and try again tomorrow.

it will run without a key. I have already installed ATI CCC8.12 and i am now installing cod5.

This is my first 64bit. I like it. IT seems so much faster than xp 32.
