[SOLVED] Purchase Decision - 3090 FE or 3090 FTW3 Ultra

I was lucky enough to pick up a Nvidia 3090 Founders Edition back in January from Best Buy. Fast forward to now and I just bought a new 3090 FTW3 Ultra direct from EVGA.

I know the EVGA warranty is second to none when compared to their peers. I thought it might be best to let the FE go and keep the EVGA based on warranty support alone, yet the FE has worked flawless. However, I've read about the FTW3 issues with New World and power consumption. Even so, what are the opinions on which card to keep?

FTW3 has the stronger cooler.

I thought they patched that issue with New World? They set a fps cap in the game.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I believe you are correct and the NW has been patched. Also, I think I read that EVGA wasn't the only victim of NW but got the most visiblity.

The cooler on the FTW3 certainly looks stronger, and with the extra/better warranty, I was leaning in the direction of keeping the FTW3 and letting the FE go.

Yeah, they got/get the most visibility because they pretty much outsell the others by a fair margin, or so I hear...
EVGA's gpus weren't alone in this disaster.

EVGA is the way to go. I have a 3080 Ti FTW3 Ultra and I would take it over the FE any day.
