Purchased a 24 inch Vizio tv for use in a nursing home. The facility only has an open guest wifi but requires a password. The Vizio smart tv recognizes the open wifi signal but does not move to a password window like it would for a closed wifi signal. TV will not connect. Any work around for this situation.

Well first you say they have an open guest wifi, an open wifi network usually means there is no password to connect to it. If there is a password on the guest wifi what security is it using. It might be using something that is not compatible with the TV. Is there an internal wifi network you can connect to, to test with?

That's a contradiction in terms my friend. It can't be both open and requiring a password, doesn't make sense.

Is it a secured wireless network (ie password-protected) or isn't it?
