Hey, y'all. First-time poster, long-time reader, and I thought I'd post
my Pokewars! WG for my character. Hoping to get some feedback on it -
Is it right? Is there anything about my character that could be
adjusted/balanced? How is it, overall? Thanks anyway.

The Pokewars! Writer's Guide For Andre James (v.1.0)
Written By JesusJones
=======================================================
Name: Andre James.
Age: 27 years old.
Height: 6,2"
Eye Colour: Brown.
Occupation: Detective Inspector of the Mahogany Town Police Department,
3rd Division, recently transferred to the Slateport City Police
Department - see Background Information for more details.
Appearance: Black coloured eyebrows and a goatee are the only things
that indicate the colour of his hair, which has been closely short-cut
into a skinhead. Andre's fairly-toned frame is a product of his
day-to-day work as a police officer (Which is active enough, but when
you consider Andre's methods of upholding the 'law'...). Wears a
pin-striped black suit jacket (which conceals the holster of his 45.
caliber handgun, and his nightstick as well), combined with a green and
black-striped t-shirt, worn over a white buttoned shirt. Also wears
faded-look denim jeans (which again, covers the handgun holster - and
handgun strapped to his right leg) and black and white-coloured
shelltoe trainers. As well as that, Andre has a single gold sovereign
ring on each hand.
Background Information: If you ever took a look into Andre's past,
you'd be surprised at how he's turned out to be the way he is now. No
alcoholic parents or evil aunts or uncles, no history of child abuse,
no tragic and harrowing tale of an upbringing as a lonely, wretched
orphan child. In fact, just a non-descript and average time of
childhood and growing-up, with non-descript and average parents. What
would they say if they ever knew what Andre grew up into - a
calculating, reckless, sadistic and very, very violent man. Yup, it's
definite to say that he's a product of the environment around him - in
this case, as an officer of a police department under the influence,
and on the payroll of Team Rocket. Corrupt doesn't even begin to cover
it.
For all of his seven years on the force, Andre has seen so much on the
streets that his sense of morality has become hugely eroded, and he now
believes that there's no such thing as good or bad - things and people
are what they are, and nothing else. Now, it's no longer a case of
simply keeping the peace, but a constant balancing act of keeping all
of the criminal elements in the town and surrounding areas happy - and
if Andre can, line his own pockets with cash in the process. In fact,
most of the department's major busts have only been down to the fact
that they've been done on Team Rocket's request, in order to preserve
their own criminal interests. The only fun now that Andre gets from his
job is getting random people arrested on trumped-up charges whilst on
duty. Either that, or organising police hit-squads to target people
that he really doesn't like. But that's usually rare. Usually when he
can't be bothered doing it himself.
On the job, Andre is highly committed and passionate when it comes to
getting things done, breaking all the rules of conduct and morality in
the process. If it's lying, cheating, backstabbing, scheming or
violence, Andre does it well - make no doubt about it, he's definately
a fan of police brutality. Off the job, he's bored, apathetic, and
jaded with life on the Pokemon Islands, annoyed at how everyone's so
nice and moral, the Jennys and the Joys, Pokemon, Pokemon trainers and
Pokemon training itself - of which Andre sees as being nothing more
than organised slavery, and something he'll have no part in. Besides,
why have something else fight for you to sort out issues of respect,
when a gun in your hand, or just your fists will settle it in double-
quick time? Speaking of fighting and guns, Andre's trained in unarmed
combat and also in the use of small to medium size firearms,
prefferring high-power pistols and sub-machine guns, if the situation
calls for it - or if he can get his hands on them.
But for all of his (brutal) strengths, Andre has his failings. Whilst
his passion for his job and his love of violence are commendable for
what he does, Andre often gets himself into situations where he goes
just too far, on certain lines that just can't be crossed, or where he
bites off more than he can chew, sometimes finding himself in places
where he's just out of his depth. Add this to the fact that he's
somewhat paranoid about his work - with all the things that he does,
he's certain that someone must be on to him by now, and so he tries to
make every effort to cover his tracks if he can. After all, his badge
is moreorless like a license to administer brutality whenever he sees
fit, without fear of the consequences - and he wouldn't want to lose
that to anything.
But anyway, as far as the present is concerned, Andre's latest
assignment is sending him undercover, into the Hoenn region. On service
for Team Rocket, Andre's going to have to find out what he can on
what's going down with Teams Magma and Aqua, and relay it back to the
police and the rockets, who have been looking to expand into the new
regions. Apart from that, the rest of the assigment is free reign for
Andre - and for him, that means forging new alliances with various
criminal gangs and leaders, keeping secret about his activities from
the top brass at the Slateport City Police Department (the department
he's been transferred to for the duration of the assignment), and any
other low-down ways he can find to make some cash on the side. And the
more strings and favours he can pull, the more 'assistance' he can get
with whatever he's doing. Because for Andre James, the only place that
he likes being now - is above the law.
