Question PX-716A

I have a few brand new Plextor PX-716A drives that i updated to the latest firmware but they still are not reading or writing. The orange/amber light on the drives in the front blinks twice and then pauses but then does the same process whemever i put in a cd. If anyone knows why they are not reading and if theres anything else i can do, id appreciate it.

I'm curious to know how you paired an IDE ODD to get it to operate? As for your ODD itself, chances are that the lens/laser on the ODD have given out or the disc you're working with has too many scratches but we'd be best served knowing what disc's you've dropped into the tray to see if it "works".

Th e Disc im using to test them works for sure, its a readable cd which i tested on my other PX-716A drive and it was able to read on that one.
