[Q] Black Forge Requirement for Smoking Heart of the Mount..

Hi,

The Smoking Heart of the Mountain (SHM) trinket requires, in addition to the
magic components, a "black forge". I understand that a "black forge" is
found in Black Rock Depths, but I am a lvl 40 priest and BRD is a lvl 55
instance.

Is there no way to create a SHM except within BRD?

Cheers,

Michael

Nope. Your best bet is to ask a raid that has cleared up to there to
invite you just to get to the anvil.

I figured that out yesterday too :-( I basically levelled enchanting (about
200g loss now) only to get that item for my 60 feral druid.
I wonder whether the fire elemental boss who guards it is soloable. Most
likely not, my 9k armor can't help me against fire damage 😱)

I guess I'll have to ask 1 or 2 guild rogues to come with me.

Nope. As Stavros wrote, you can ask a raid that's going on to carry you
in there. If you're in a guild, they might make you that favor.
It's quite hard for a level 40 to just get inside the BRD instance, but
once you're in, they can teleport you right to the anvil if they have
a warlock.

Otherwise you'll have to wait at least until level 50 until you can
expect a pickup group taking you with them...

Hrm... There is a small track to the left of the bridge (with the 2x3
elementals) which leads to the entrance of MC, do I have to go that way?

That's great! Stealthing shouldn't be the problem (I sneaked into the bar
about 10 times, and they never spotted me). Soloing the single fireguard
should be doable too.

Hrm... How do I go through the room of the seven? Don't tell me that video
involved this weird "swimming through lava" strategy :-/

That's the other option. I already run 2 or 3 raids for attuning
guildies, and I think there will be another 1 or 2 of those raids
in the future.

I did it through the lava swimming strategy, which is piece of cake for
a druid with NS, or a big healing potion. you never get enough damage to
die, just make sure you swim to the LEFT side of the elemental island,
any other side aggroes them. At the left end of the island throw a
regrowth and stealth immediately, to avoid possible aggroing by mistake.
Stealth through them to the right corner and a bit to the back, and jump
again through lava for the (very small) trip to the other side, below
the bridge. From there, just go up to the bridge, (stealthing on the
RIGHT side of mobs), go to the corner behind the rock, attune, get into
MC and out. The ONLY thing that can kill you is if you aggro the
patrolling elemental while swimming in the lava, if you do so just try
again.

Thanks for the description! But... where do I have to enter the lava
in the first place? Hrm... I guess I'll look up the web for a video.
A video explains more than 1000 words, and there are no
misunderstandings 😱)

Behind the naga ambassador. Basically go outside when mistress goes out,
go left and up (or is it down) and you meet the ambassador. At the back
is a balcony, thats where you jump (ambassador is far and alone, and
doesnt aggro). If you have a fire protection use it at the beginning of
the instance so you can use a health pot now. Good luck :)

That's the guy who spawns about a million little fire elementals, right?
Great, everything is crystal clear then! Thanks again.
