So long story short my wife wants a Mac.
I have my existing PC build which Im pretty sure can be a hackintosh.

My question is can I run Windows Based Steam games on Mac with Parallels or another piece of sofware?
I know it may be pushing it but I don't want to sacrifice any game performance.

I don't want to dualboot.

System:
Intel Core i5 2500k @ Stock
ASRock Gen3 Extreme3 z68
8gb G.Skill Ripjaws X (Intention to upgrade to 16gb)
EVGA nVidia GeForce GTX 570
60gb OCZ Agility 3 SSD (OS)
90gb Corsair Force GT SSD (Games)
1tb Seagate/Maxtor HDD (Bulk)
Linksys AE2500 Dual-Band N Adapter
Dell sp2008wfp Monitor (1680x1050 res)
Microsoft Curve Keyboard
Logitech Wireless Notebook Mouse

Solution
So you want to run an unsupported OS on your PC, then emulate Windows on that OS. And you want to know if you can run Steam games? Possibly. As with any emulated system, performance will be terrible and modern games won't be worth playing

As long as you don't care about game performance you may be able to get this to work in some fashion. But to me it would seem madness to use a decent PC in this way. If you must have a Hackintosh then dual boot; but the best solution is to buy your wife a Mac Mini.
