Well, for me, I ditched the push pins before it ever gave ANY decent results, warm or other wise, hehehe! Was very hot because it appeared that no matter the amount of pushing, I couldnt get it to mount right, so I just got some tiny bolts, and manually used screws and bolted it directly on, facing the correct way! And its nice and cool!!

Seems to me that there is a better chance of it not working because of the push-pins than the chance of a defective cooler. It's possible...but I just don't think its as likely for it to be defective. But I would rather get a bolt-thru kit than take a chance doing it myself, plus they're pretty cheap.

Just a question...Does anyone know of a site that you can pay with PayPal instead of a credit card that sells this kind of stuff. Because I don't have a credit card. Thanks.
 
Newegg. I have this same excact issue and Lup helped me though it in a different post. But alas the heat came back after a few days, I have the same crappy results as you. I completely gave up and ordered a AC7 last night. I dont have the patience and time to bother with these HDT coolers.
