I recently replace my core 2 duo e7400 with a q8300, i just want to ask if its better or not? I also got 4gb ram and a gt730 ddr3, will it run some games? I dont really expect much and i can play on a low resolution.
Sure, there are loads of games it can play. Just don't expect the latest AAA titles to play. Pretty much anything in those sub $10 bundles with a bunch of older games on Steam will play.

With a 730 DDR3 720p should be the highest resolution you try. It would have been better to ask this question before you spent the money. If we say yes or no now what difference does it make?
Yeah i messed up, i got the 730 back when i dont know what everything of this means. Now i was suppose to get a q6600 but instead they gave me this. On this country they really exploit people who dont know some things. Its my bad
The difference between Q6600 to Q8400 is actualy ignoreable. Q8400 is slightly more powerful than Q6600.
Q8400 is not that bad. Yes, it is far from today's average newer I5s.<-- depending on the game, this should not be a big issue
4GB is not good, go at least to 8GB. <-- this is the second biggest problem.
GT730 is really bad....sorry. <--- this is the biggest problem
I had Q6600 @3Ghz + HD6850 + 8GB DDR3 RAM until 2014-2015 and I can still play Bioshock Infinite and Shadow of Mordor @1200p (U2412M).
I had to lower some settings and got very playable FPS....forgot how much FPS tho'.
I cant really find a single 4gb stick at my area thats why i just picked 4gb up instead of what i use then which is 3gb. I dont really know if having 1gb ram more is worth it but its all that i can find on here. Maybe i will change it when i got the time (the gpu and the ram). Thank you for the answers, i will remember all of what you guys said.
