Q9650 with Asus P5KE upgrade to Intel DX38BT

Hello
I am currently running a Q9650 with Asus P5KE and a Samsung EVO 860 SSD
I would like to get an Intel DX38BT for DDR3 1600 memory and also Sata3 and PCI 2.0

I don't play games - not over clocking - just want a faster desktop

Also what GPU would help speed things up

What say the experts here ?

Little to no difference.
I only got bump in perfomance when i went from Q6600 to g3220, same fps in games but more stable, even windows on same old hdd since i got pc.
There i felt speed up.
