Qi Charger range question

Hello guys!

I'm thinking about a little proyect where I'm going to put an acrilic panel under my MM300 extended mousepad, with a little cavity to fit a RGB strip like in this video, wich is easy enough (and a great and cheap idea):

Thing is, I'm gonna have to send it to a shop to do the cut with laser, and might as well do one with the shape of a Wireless Charger (to the left of the keyboard), so I can simply rest my phone and charge it.

So, the question: being the mousepad 3mm thick (0.1 inches), will the qi charger still manage to send power through the cloth?
Cutting the cloth is not an option.

Nope, I didn't buy it yet. Was hoping for someone who already has and help me decide the correct model.
I'm going to charge a Galaxy S8, if it helps

A quick Google search for "QI charger distance" says up to 45 mm.

Thanks for that link. Yet I still need to find a thin charger, with good range. Any sugestions?

Sorry no. I have neither interest nor need for them. Perhaps a visit to a shop selling them could be a start.
