HI,

My TS451a says Update ready but need to restart which we did.
It took a long time 'Rebooting' and now I can't get to it at all. Connection timed out.

I am not sure whether it actually updated or just restarted.

QFinder lists it, but in Browser get a blue screen then taking too long message. It also does not show in Win10 v2004 explorer 'Network'.

The status light is off, the orange LAN is flashing every now and then and the HDD1 is green (Only 1 drive in so far)

I tried to ping................

C:\Users\webma>ping 192.168.20.26

Ping statistics for 192.168.20.26:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),

How come it used 20.17 instead of 26?

17 is the Win10 PC box I am using now with FireFox browser.

Where do I go from here to get back to it please?

Should I reset it?

Well I got help on another forum.

Took the drive out, did the reset but no beep. Tried a few times, still no beep but then bit the bullet and turned it off.

Waited a few mins then placed the drive back in and turned on.

After a while it came back same user, pwd and said Firmware ready. Chose to start that and after a while all went well and now back to normal.

Thank goodness as I have been transferring 33,000 photos on there, still going through the thumbnail creating etc, so haven't done a back up.

Should be fine for that tomorrow.
